Best-selling author visits library

Best-selling author Lesley Pearse will be at Yeovil Library next month for a special ‘Meet the Author’ event.

The novelist will be talking about her life, her work, and her recent number one bestseller Survivor at the event on Friday 18 July at 11am. She will also be answering questions from the audience.

As an author of 22 novels, Lesley is considered a ‘cross-genre’ writer in that her books are not representative of just one style. Whether historical adventure, romance, crime, or fiction based on true life, the variety in Lesley’s books accounts for her wide appeal and global fan base.

Lesley’s own life informs the themes of her books; the pain of first love, the unwanted child, adoption, rejection, fear, poverty and revenge – she knows about it first-hand.

Jackie Dunn, a librarian at Yeovil Library, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Lesley Pearse to Yeovil Library. The recent refurbishment of the library has, for the first time, given us a fitting space in which to accommodate authors of Lesley’s standing.”

This is a free event, but booking is required as places are limited. Bookings may be made in person at Yeovil Library, by email to yeolib@somerset.gov.uk, or by phoning 0845 345 9177.

Books will be available to buy at the event, and Lesley will be happy to sign them.
