Three Somerset Youth Groups have each won £100 to spend on activities, equipment or day trips for their club.

Somerset County Council’s Youth and Community Service recently ran a photo competition for all Youth Clubs across the county. All clubs were asked to send in a photo they felt represented how great it is to be involved in a youth group or project.

The three winning photos were chosen from Martock Youth Club, Tintinhull Youth Club and Taunton YMCA. Each club has been awarded £100 to spend within their clubs.

Cllr Frances Nicholson, Cabinet Member for Children and Families, said: “There were so many excellent entries into this photo competition and the winners truly highlight the fun energy that our youth clubs embody. Congratulations to each of the winning clubs; enjoy your winnings!”

The winners are now set to become the faces of the Council’s Youth and Community Service as the photos will be used for promotional posters and leaflets. The winners are now set to become the faces of the Council’s Youth and Community Service as the photos will be used for promotional posters and leaflets.
