Free digital online short courses at Somerset Libraries

Somerset Libraries are teaming up with FutureLearn to offer free short courses with a digital theme.

The courses are MOOCS (Massive Open Online Courses) – the new trend in online learning – and cover varied subjects from building a robot to digital storytelling.

The courses are developed by experts from top universities. The learning takes place online by watching videos, listening to audio and reading articles on a mobile, tablet and desktop – in the library or from a sofa at home.

Somerset Libraries want to bring learners together in a MOOC Group to help create local networks and support the learning experience.
