Frome residents can now enjoy the use of a new community space and café at Colliers Court, on the Manor Road Trading Estate in Frome.
The building, which was previously known as the Frome Enterprise Resource Centre, has been fully refurbished and updated to provide a modern flexible space for Somerset County Council services and the local community.
Community groups can make use of the new communal area, which is available for hire during evenings and weekends.
The building also boasts a new café, which is run by adults with learning disabilities, where hot drinks, homemade cakes and savouries are on sale to the public from 10am to 2.30pm.
Somerset County Council’s Cabinet Member for Resources, Cllr Harvey Siggs, said: “We are delighted with the new space at Colliers Court and I’d like to congratulate and thank everyone who worked so hard on the refurbishments. The new design and layout has created a great place for community groups to meet as well as providing a welcoming and practical space for our existing users. The adults with learning disabilities who use the building are really enjoying the new facility and it is well worth dropping by to sample their delicious Espresso coffee and homemade snacks.”
