What: Photo opportunity for the promotion of the National No Smoking Day (9th March 2016) in Taunton.
Who: Cllr. Vivienne Stock-Williams (Smokefree Alliance); Stewart Brock, Public Health Specialist, (Somerset County Council); Kinshore Sankla (Chief Executive Officer, Solutions4Health) and members of the Smokefreelife Somerset team.
Somerset County Council and Smokefreelife Somerset are promoting ‘National No Smoking Day’ on the 9th March 2016 in Taunton to help reduce tobacco related illness and deaths and highlight the effective help that is available.
A stop smoking stand and the ‘Wellness on Wheels’ mobile clinic will be at Fore Street and Castle Green in Taunton, between 10 am to 4pm on Wednesday 9th March.
There will be advice and help to stop smoking with a helping hand from some larger than life pets. The costumed characters will help to encourage smokers who pass by to stop and enforce the message that second hand smoke is worse for pets.
