There’s Still Time To Thank Somerset’s Volunteers

There’s still time to thank Somerset’s unsung heroes by nominating them for a Somerset Star Volunteer Award.

Nominations are open from now until Friday 21 April 2017 and anyone can put forward individuals and volunteer groups who go that extra mile in their communities.

Somerset County Council is proud once again to work with Somerset You Can Do, Engage and Spark to support this very special campaign to say a big thank you to all the volunteers and volunteer groups who play such a vital role across the county.

Each district will choose a final Somerset Star Volunteer Award winner who will be presented with their ‘Somerset Star’ award at events during National Volunteers Week (Thursday 1 to Wednesday 7 June 2017).

All five district winners will then be put forward for the opportunity to be crowned ‘County winner’.

Nominate your ‘Star Volunteer’ by downloading a form at www.somersetvolunteer.co.uk/

If you are a local business or organisation interested in sponsoring an event, or one of the awards, then please contact your local volunteer centre or Somerset You can Do on 01278 664180.
