Make sure you vote in the County Council Elections today!

More than 400,000 people could be making their way to the ballot box for the County Council elections today.

Some 418,000 plus residents are registered to vote for one of the 230 prospective councillors vying for their support on 4 May, with 55 seats available across the county.

You can follow the election results as they are announced in the early hours  by following Somerset County Council’s twitter account @SomersetCouncil and #VoteSomerset2017.

Polling will take place between 7am and 10pm today (Thursday 4 May) at 446 polling stations. The polling stations include the oldest polling station in the South West at Muchelney, the skittle alley at the Flying Horse in Taunton Deane and a private house in Bury, West Somerset.
