Have fun, get information and meet others at a FREE family fun day for children and young people with a disability or additional need taking place in Street in July.
Organised by Somerset County Council and taking place on Saturday 1 July from 10am to 2pm at Brookside Academy in Street, children and young people and their families can take part in a host of free activities.
These include accessible bikes, face painting, music, bouncy castle, soft play area, animation taster, climbing wall, woodland crafts, gardening, petting zoo, wheelchair tennis, football and cricket tasters, arts and much more!
Cllr Frances Nicholson, Cabinet Member for Children and Families at Somerset County Council said: “This is a great opportunity to have fun, meet new people and find out more information about Somerset County Council’s short break service. There will be a host of short break activity providers on hand to meet families, offer tasters of activities they are putting on this summer and signposting families to new opportunities. It’s a FREE family event, sure to be fun for all.”
Refreshments are also available to purchase including wood fired pizzas, fish & chips, ice creams and a FREE cream tea per person brought to you by trainees from The Courtyard Café, Yeovil.
