Join The Bridgwater Way team at the Big Lunch and Music Festival in Wilstock Park on 1 June and learn how BetterPoints ‘pays’ to walk.
Bridgwater residents are encouraged to download The Bridgwater Way’s BetterPoints App, which awards points for walking, running and cycling. Points can then be converted into retail vouchers which can be spent around the town.
BetterPoints is working closely with The Bridgwater Way, run by Somerset County Council, aiming to reduce traffic by changing the way people travel in and around the town.
This month, the BetterPoints App was highlighted by nationally acclaimed Money Saving Expert as a great way to improve health, the environment whilst getting paid to walk. To read the full article, click here.
Feeling inspired? Try it out for yourself by downloading the BetterPoints app from the Google Play or Apple Store and signing up for ‘The Bridgwater Way’ programme.
The Bridgwater Way team will be at the Big Lunch and Music Festival in Wilstock Park on 1st June 2-7pm promoting the BetterPoints programme and demonstrating how you can donate your points to local charity, The Wilstock Hub.
Walk or cycle to The Big Lunch (minimum 0.5 mile) and receive a bonus of 250 points. To earn another 250 bonus points, scan the QR code at the event and by doing so BetterPoints will also donate 2000 points to the Wilstock Hub for every person who scans the code.
