A notice of vacancy has been published for the Comeytrowe and Trull division of Somerset County Council following the death of Councillor Alan Wedderkopp.

An election to fill the seat will be held if the Returning Officer receives a request in writing from two electors from within the county of Somerset.

On receipt of the requests the Returning Officer will set a date for an election to be held within 35 days.
