Community update – Somerset Levels Flooding

Avon and Somerset Police have issued the latest community update for the flooding on behalf of Somerset County Council and other multi agency partners, which includes help and guidance relating to the the flooding, including evacuation, emergency accommodation and sandbags.

Communities in Moorland and Fordgate saw flood water rise by up to a metre in a few minutes at around 1:30 this morning (7 February 2014). 80 homes have been affected, with 60 homes being evacuated.
